We also offer other excellent benefits, including company-matching 401K plan, profit sharing, an impressive incentive bonus program, and more! Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate can include but are not limited to:Provide design and technical support for- stormwater system assessment, design projects, and plan development- watershed master planning / modeling- hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues like watershed restoration and dam safety analyses- preparing engineering and construction cost estimates Provide leadership, project management, and consulting experience by- providing technical oversight / mentorship of junior staff- developing project budgets and scopes of work - creating and tracking project schedules and deadlines- serving as primary point of contact for clients- assisting company leadership with business development activities including recognizing new clients and project opportunities, strategic teaming, proposal construction, and oral presentationsRequirements of a successful candidate include:- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related degree) - 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, specifically stormwater management- EIT certification required, P.E. licensure in VA preferred (or obtain within 12 months)- Experience with drafting/mapping software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or ArcGIS- Experience with stormwater modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, PCSWMM, etc.) in support of stormwater management design and planning projects - Experience with technical writing and compilation of results from engineering analysesPreferred Experience of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:- Experience in the supervision of the technical work of others- Business development experience including client engagement, participating in interviews, marketing, developing scopes of work, and budgeting.- Experience with the design and implementation of stormwater management systems, including the preparation of detailed design documents and specifications- Experience with floodplain modelling and studies in support of CLOMR/LOMR applications- Understanding of principles of resiliency in the planning and implementation of stormwater infrastructure projects in preparation for rising sea levels and increases in rainfall intensity and durationThe requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
