We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced raodway engineer to join our transportation practice in our Salt Lake City office. We're seeking interested candidates to lead design teams to perform roadway engineering design and project management tasks. The candidate will develop concepts, preliminary engineering and final design for projects including, but not limited to, developing geometric alignments, profiles, corridor modeling, design sections, grading design, drainage, construction details, traffic signal plans, and signing and striping plans. What could make you a good fit?:- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering- P.E. License in UT desired or ability to obtain within 1 year- 5+ years of experience within Transportation Engineering- Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, APWA and UDOT standards- UDOT design experience preferred along with experience advertising UDOT projects- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies- Experience preparing final design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates- Proficiency with Microstation and/or Inroads, Open Roads Designer- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel- Interest in mentoring and providing oversight and guidance to junior staff- Good problem solving and technical writing skills- Someone dedicated to delivering projects for clients and who quality of work reflects this- Interest in working on a variety of challenging and exciting projects, including innovative digital delivery projects- Motivated to join to a growing office and contributing to its growth and getting rewarded for those effort
