Job Description Overview:Kimley-Horn is seeking an individual to add to our growing cost and pricing marketing and production administrative support team. This is a key support role whose primary function is to serve as a resource on cost proposals, provide cost and pricing development, and pre-award audit support. The opportunity is for the candidate to sit in any of our CA offices. Responsibilities include but are not be limited to:- Review RFP/RFQ solicitations to determine needed cost and compliance submittal requirements and coordinate with project managers on Kimley-Horn’s approach to meeting submittal requirements- Work with project managers and sub-consultants to develop complete and cohesive cost proposals for submittals- Prepare documentation for pre-award contract/cost audits including coordination with subconsultants to obtain required information and prepare/submit responses to Client- Review DBE/SBE goals and coordinate with project manager to be sure achievement of required goals are accurately accounted for in cost proposals in accordance with appropriate DBE/SBE guidelines.Requirements:- Strong proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Professional- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (particularly formula utilization)- Excellent analytical skills; ability to weigh and synthesize inputs from a variety of sources- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service while maintaining a balance between results and the needs of internal customers- Excellent oral and written communication, including strong grammar and punctuation skills- Assist with reviewing of contracts to monitor contract language and compliance Desired Characteristics/Qualifications:- 5+years cost coordination or equivalent experience - Experience in engineering, architecture, or construction firm preferred- Experience with Caltrans and Caltrans Local Assistance cost Forms and pre-award audit procedures a plus but not required Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Kimley-Horn in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.  We do not typically sponsor H1-B or any other work visa petitions.

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to join our Transportation Team in Sacramento, CA. This individual will lead and support various transportation planning and engineering projects involving traffic operations, simulation, traffic impact studies, intersection control evaluations (ICE), traffic analysis, signal coordination studies, traffic control plans, signage and striping, and other transportation related duties leading and supporting transportation projects for Caltrans and other local agencies.  Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in civil and/or Masters in Transportation Engineering- Preferred California PE or TE- At least 10 years of transportation engineering/planning experience- Advanced project experience with Vissim, Synchro, Vistro/TRAFFIX, SketchUp, Sidra and/or GIS- Understanding of Highway Capacity Methodologies (HCM) and Highway Capacity Software (HCS)- Previous experience in leading and supporting Caltrans and local projects; strong proficiency with Caltrans standards  - Experience communicating and working with a variety of different stakeholders, clients, and team members  - Experience with marketing and business development preferred- Strong written and oral communication skills- Experience and interest mentoring and training staff
