Project Manager - Waterfront and Ports

Kimley-Horn has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to join our growing Waterfront and Ports practice in Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will be a leader in a practice specializing in Structural or Civil Engineering services. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, required
• Professional licensure as a P.E. in Virginia
• 10+ years of diversified civil engineering experience in growing and leading a public or private sector waterfront and ports practice – preferred experience in the Hampton Roads market but not required 
• Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, fees and budgets, and schedules
• History of providing technical design and planning in the areas of waterfront structures and marine environments
• Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
• Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
