Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Civil Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer to join our Woodlands, TX office.

As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of civil engineering tasks, supervise team members, manage projects, and collaborate with team members. You will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions. 

 

Our Energy team works on projects including:

  • Pipeline Design
  • Solar site Design
  • Natural Gas Metering and Regulation Stations
  • Pipeline Integrity Management
  • Natural Gas Compressor Stations
  • Control Design and Integration
  • Client Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of applicable work experience strongly preferred
  • Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and/or GIS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CFR 49 Part 190-195
  • Knowledge of natural gas systems, solar industry and processes
