We seek a dynamic Internal Communications Client Coordinator to join our Firmwide Communications team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for serving internal clients and maintaining internal communication initiatives that engage and inform our employees. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a champion of Kimley-Horn’s culture and be able to communicate it clearly and effectively across the firm. This is not a remote position.

 

This role will be in our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC)  office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal clients to understand their goals to translate and deliver clear, actionable information on tools and resources.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee engagement, recommending appropriate internal messaging and cultural campaigns that align with their goals.
  • This may include developing messaging to different audiences, preparing companion materials, and keeping projects moving.
  • Build lasting relationships with teammates, clients, and partners by being responsive and dependable.
  • Own multiple client projects at once, setting expectations early and delivering on every deadline.
  • Ensure message consistency and tone across all channels and for all clients, providing guidance on messaging, audience, and timing.
  • Champion the Kimley-Horn culture and brand in every client interaction and deliverable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of one year of experience in internal communications or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding collaboration skills
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with content management systems – i.e., SharePoint, Sociabble, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with partners at all levels of the firm
