Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate can include but are not limited to:

Provide design and technical support for

  • stormwater system assessment, design projects, and plan development
  • watershed master planning / modeling
  • hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues like watershed restoration and dam safety analyses
  • preparing engineering and construction cost estimates

 

Requirements of a successful candidate include:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related degree)
  • 1-2 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically stormwater management
  • EIT certification required

Preferred Experience of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Experience with drafting/mapping software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or ArcGIS
  • Experience with stormwater modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, PCSWMM, etc.) in support of stormwater management design and planning projects
  • Experience with technical writing and compilation of results from engineering analyses
  • Experience with the design and implementation of stormwater management systems, including the preparation of detailed design documents and specifications
  • Understanding of principles of resiliency in the planning and implementation of stormwater infrastructure projects in preparation for rising sea levels and increases in rainfall intensity and duration
