Overview

Kimley-Horn's Tucson, Arizona (AZ) office is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Water/Wastewater team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure planning, design and condition assessment projects with a strong emphasis on geospatial analysis and systems integration
  • Involves evaluating municipal infrastructure, developing master plans, and building GIS-based tools and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Conduct condition assessments of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure using field data, GIS, and system records
  • Develop and update infrastructure master plans, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and pump station evaluations
  • Support design engineering tasks for water distribution systems, including layout, sizing, and hydraulic calculations
  • Perform advanced spatial data analysis using GIS to support capital planning, infrastructure performance evaluations and data analysis
  • Utilize Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) to build and maintain automated processes and custom applications
  • Manage and configure SharePoint sites for project collaboration and data management
  • Apply programming and scripting (e.g., Python, R, SQL) to automate data processing and enhance analytical capabilities
  • Prepare technical reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations #DE-BLOCK

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field of study
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Waste/Wastewater Engineer-in-Training or related role where required experience gained
  • Applying programming and scripting (e.g., Python, R) to automate data processing and enhance analytical capabilities
  • Utilizing Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) to build and maintain automated processes and custom applications
  • Performing advanced spatial data analysis using GIS to support capital planning, infrastructure performance evaluations and data analysis
  • Professional Engineering License (or ability to obtain one within 12 months)
