Overview

Kimley-Horn’s Bellevue office is seeking a Right of Way Agent with 2+ years of experience to join our growing Right of Way team.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in right-of-way acquisition while working alongside experienced team members on impactful infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle—from property research to landowner coordination—while receiving mentorship and support as you continue to grow your skills. If you’re someone who is detail-oriented, motivated to learn, and excited about working both in the field and collaboratively with a team, we’d love to connect.

Responsibilities

With guidance from senior team members, you will:

  • Support right-of-way activities including property research, cost estimates, and project scoping
  • Assist with title research to identify ownership and property interests
  • Review right-of-way plans to prepare for landowner outreach and coordination
  • Help prepare acquisition documents, legal descriptions, and supporting materials
  • Participate in landowner communications, with opportunities to build negotiation skills over time
  • Conduct field visits to observe and document property impacts
  • Assist with relocation coordination in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Interpret maps, plats, and engineering plans to support project needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and project stakeholders
  • Support preparation of reports, documentation, and correspondence

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in right-of-way, property research, title, appraisal, paralegal, or related field
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, planning, legal, or related field)
  • Basic understanding of right-of-way processes, property ownership, or title research
  • Strong communication skills and interest in working with property owners and project teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility over time
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Valid driver’s license

Salary Range:

  • $97,000 - $105,000
  • Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
