Overview

Kimley-Horn's Portland, OR office is seeking a MV Collection System Engineer to support fast‑paced, developer‑driven renewable generation and BESS projects! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Design MV collection systems including feeder layouts, routing, and voltage drop
  • Develop and redline site layouts, one‑lines, and schematic diagrams
  • Perform supporting electrical studies such as load flow and voltage drop
  • Coordinate closely with civil teams on trenching and duct bank design
  • Support utility interconnection reviews while maintaining developer schedules
  • Provide rapid engineering support during construction and commissioning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of MV power system or renewable energy design experience
  • Strong ability to provide redlines and technical direction
  • Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards
