Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Compensation Systems & Data Analyst to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Conduct rigorous QA/QC reviews on compensation models and salary structures.
    Identify errors, inconsistencies, or data anomalies and implement process improvements to reduce defects.
    Advanced Data Analysis & Modeling
  • Build, maintain, and validate complex spreadsheets and financial models used in compensation planning.
    Support salary modeling, forecast modeling, and M&A compensation modeling.
    Develop and test projection models for salaries, bonuses, recognition programs, and workforce cost impacts.

Reporting & Metrics

  • Create, enhance, and automate compensation reporting dashboards.

Systems, Technology & Automation

  • Serve as a key contributor to compensation‑related system improvements in UKG Pro, including testing, troubleshooting, and validating system outputs.
    Implement workflow automation and technology solutions that reduce manual effort and enhance data accuracy.
    Partner with HRIS, IT, and Finance on system enhancements, integrations, and configuration updates.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure compensation data and processes adhere to internal controls, firm policies, confidentiality expectations, and legal/regulatory requirements.

Process Documentation & Standardization

  • Own and maintain clear, repeatable process documentation for compensation cycle activities (bonus, salary, and promotions).
    Support the build‑out of scalable frameworks and templates used across compensation programs.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Compensation Analysts, HR partners, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment and data consistency.
    Provide timely QC feedback to team members during annual and mid‑year compensation cycles.
    Support knowledge transfer, training, and best‑practice adoption across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, HR, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced Excel (complex formulas, Power Query, modeling, audit controls).
  • Experience with UKG Pro or other HRIS/compensation systems preferred.
  • Experience with compensation programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and interpret large datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Comfort working with technical workflows, data integrations, and automation tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to document processes clearly and maintain consistency in recurring QA/QC activities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work with cross‑functional partners effectively.
