Overview

Our Riverside, California (CA) office is looking for a Sr. Designer with 10+ years of experience to join our Development Services team!

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Designer to join our residential team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for residential development projects. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration with project teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    1. Design and Drafting:

      • Develop detailed CAD drawings and designs for residential development projects, including site plans, subdivisions, grading plans, and utility layouts.
      • Ensure drawings meet all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
    2. Technical Expertise:

      • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the design and review process.
      • Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to produce high-quality design documents.
    3. Quality Control:

      • Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and designs.
      • Coordinate with engineers and other team members to ensure design intent is accurately captured.
    4. Project Coordination:

      • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
      • Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
    5. Mentorship:

      • Mentor and train junior CAD designers and drafters on best practices and technical skills.
      • Share knowledge and promote continuous improvement within the team.
    6. Client Interaction:

      • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on design progress.
      • Address any client concerns or design alterations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on residential development projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of residential development design standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Salary Range

$110,000 to $130,000
