Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the corporate team in our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC). This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst to join our data and analytics team. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with a foundation in reporting tools and a passion for turning data into actionable insights. You’ll work with IBM Cognos Analytics, as well as other programs, to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support key business decisions. This person will

  • Assist in building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver clear, accurate reporting solutions.
  • Source data needed for reports and work with the data team to incorporate into the data warehouse and models
  • Support data quality checks and troubleshoot issues with reports and queries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience (or strong academic/project experience)
  • Proficiency with Cognos Analytics (basic report development preferred, admin exposure a plus)
  • Experience working with relational databases and proficiency in SQL

Preferred Experience:

  • Power BI (Desktop and Service)
  • T-SQL on SQL Servers
  • Excel and Power Queries
  • Data Extraction Transformation and Loading
  • SSAS Tabular (on-prem or cloud)
  • Visual Studio or equivalent software
  • Azure Data Factory / SSIS
  • Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform programs (Power Apps, Power Automate)
