Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Training and Program Development Analyst to join the corporate team in our Dallas, Texas (TX) location. This role involves project planning and execution for a variety of training programs, implementation of multiple approaches to learning and development, and broad communication to students, instructors, and other relevant constituencies, as well as collaborating on other employee communication projects.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have event planning experience, implement new ideas successfully, and use their professional judgement to solve problems with limited daily supervision by using critical thinking skills. Air travel is required. A typical year could include approximately 20-25 total travel days in 2-5-day increments. This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate face-to-face and virtual training sessions around the country
  • Manage event-related needs such as registering attendees, updating material, utilizing a learning management platform, tracking deadlines, and other activities, as needed
  • Manage and coordinate communications with employees and instructors attending various training programs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to update presentations and learning aids in various formats
  • Manage organizational tasks, independently and through others (i.e., leading training tee up and debrief calls with instructors, and organizing training materials)
  • Review course feedback and make recommendations for improvement
  • Support other departmental activities as needed, such as various writing projects and learning opportunities that utilize new software

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (HR, Communication, Psychology)
  • Excellent organization and follow-through skills, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Being on-site at training sessions requires longer days
