Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Production Applications Technology Strategy & Innovation Lead in our Jacksonville, FL office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Production Applications team, the selected candidate will shape and implement technology strategies and drive innovation as a partner to the leaders on the team. Desired background in design technology, CAD SW development, structural or electrical engineering, software development and innovation. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on application development. It aims to drive computational design, parametric workflows, and digital solutions in line with the firm’s growth and technological evolution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define the vision for production technology innovation.
    • Develop product management mindsets and write value cases.
    • Manage an innovation portfolio aligned with Production Applications team objectives.
  • Innovation & Training
    • Act as a thought leader promoting digital workflow efficiency.
    • Coordinate training and upskilling initiatives.
    • Translate between production and IT to implement lessons learned.
  • Vendor & Relationship Management
    • Participate in the relationships with key software vendors as an innovation partner to team leads for these vendors.
    • Leverage strong external-partner network to co-develop solutions.
  • Team & Development
    • Work with development teams to streamline production workflows.
    • Thought leadership and coaching in our move towards Agile development.
    • Mentor developers in coding languages and structural analysis tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree in civil engineering / electrical engineering / mechanical engineering or Computer Engineering / Science.
  • Expertise in generative design, full-stack development, structural analysis automation, and BIM.
  • Leadership experience in design technology, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong technical depth, change management, and communication skills.
