Overview

We are seeking an Acoustics Engineer with 8+ years of demonstrated experience in acoustic consulting to join our multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will lead complex acoustic projects delivering in-depth noise analyses, mitigation strategies, and clear, actionable recommendations for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead detailed acoustic analyses and prepare comprehensive technical reports and recommendations tailored to client needs in land development projects.

  • Develop and implement innovative noise mitigation strategies for diverse engineering projects such as roadways, rail systems, transit infrastructure, and industrial facilities.

  • Perform acoustic measurements, sophisticated modeling, and simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or similar).

  • Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and project teams to seamlessly integrate acoustic solutions into overall designs.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of local, state, and federal acoustics-related building codes, regulations, and standards.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, budgets, deliverables, and ensuring client satisfaction and quality control.

  • Conduct and supervise site visits, providing hands-on guidance during the construction and implementation of acoustic solutions.

  • Serve as a technical resource on noise control, sound isolation, room acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration control, and environmental noise assessments.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous professional development within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

  • 8+ years of professional acoustics consulting experience, with a strong portfolio of land development projects.

  • Proven expertise in acoustic modeling and simulation software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Aural, or equivalent tools.

  • Deep understanding of noise control, vibration isolation, soundproofing techniques, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex acoustic concepts clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experienced in managing project deliverables, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

  • Proficient with sound and vibration measurement equipment and field data collection.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.

  • Leadership mindset with excellent interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
