Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for an Expense leadership role on the Accounts Payable Team in our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office. 

 

We are seeking an energetic individual with strong leadership skills who will act as an integral member of the Payables Team. This position will provide support for offices throughout the country. This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

 Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage the expense report review team
  • Hire, train, and mentor team members
  • Oversee team workload, deadlines, and quality control

 Expense Management

  • Review and approve employee expense reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Handle escalations and follow-ups on expense issues

 Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and improve review procedures
  • Analyze helpdesk trends to reduce volume and improve training
  • Compile and act on monthly performance metrics (KPIs)

 Collaboration & Support

  • Work with the Amex administrator to resolve credit card issues
  • Provide training to employees on expense policies
  • Offer backup support to other team members as needed
  • Deliver excellent internal and external customer service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset for process improvement

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Concur Expense
    • AppZen
    • Deltek Costpoint
