Overview

Kimley-Horn's Lakeland, Florida (FL)office is seeking an Environmental Scientist with 8+ years of experience to join their Environmental team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

The main goal of this position is to assist clients with complex environmental issues, including contamination assessments and remedial planning.  Specific job activities include, but are not limited to: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, contamination assessments, remedial planning, compliance assistance, permitting, and marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field;
  • 8+  years of related environmental experience;
  • Familiarity with the Florida Administrative Codes associated with the environmental industry
  • Knowledge of groundwater flow, soil characteristics, and remedial technologies;
  • Working knowledge of computer software, AutoCAD design software, and/or GIS;
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation required to access remote job site locations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
