Overview

Kimley-Horn is one of the nation's most comprehensive and best respected engineering, planning, and landscape architecture consulting firms. We are seeking a transportation planner to join our Tallahassee, Florida (FL) office!

Responsibilities

This position will support our growing planning practices which includes transportation planning, policy planning, community planning, public outreach, and other areas of the planning field. A technical knowledge of planning principles is required along with the ability to effectively write reports and similar planning documents. The ability to work closely with the public, stakeholders, and various agency staff is also required.  

Qualifications

  • Degree in Planning or related field
  • Experience with planning principles such as transportation plans and policy, land use analysis, community engagement, and knowledge of progressive planning trends and strategies
  • Experience with GIS and other related software
  • Strong communication, leadership, and writing skills
