Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the corporate Finance and Accounting team in our Raleigh, NC headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and support the annual business planning process, including budgeting for firmwide operating expenses
  • Assist with the year-end review which includes the preparation of external financial statements and various reconciliations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Complete monthly operating expense projections
  • Assist with the monthly financial statement consolidation process
  • Prepare and analyze financial information for other teams as well as senior leadership
  • Assist with the research and implementation of new accounting standards, as necessary
  • Support our annual indirect cost rate audit on an as needed basis
  • Assist with special projects among various teams nationwide 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Public Accounting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent quantitative skills combined with an ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization from new hires to senior executives
  • Exceptional client service mentality and strong work ethic
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Must be an excellent team player as well as work independently
