Overview

The Network Engineer will work closely with the Network Operations manager to design, implement and maintain network infrastructure for the enterprise organization, including on-prem and cloud data centers. The ideal candidate should possess project management experience, a strong knowledge of networking concepts, and hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting network devices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support enterprise network infrastructure for 150+ offices, on-prem data centers, and Azure network environments.
  • Design and execute networking projects by coordinating with stakeholders, creating project plans, and distributing tasks among team members.
  • Provide daily operational support for network devices such as switches, SDWAN, wireless and secure VPN networks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cloud team to design, develop, and deploy network components in Azure cloud.
  • Configure, install and maintain network systems and software, including VPN infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to on-prem and cloud network architecture, design and maintenance
  • Diagnose and resolve network operations problems, working alongside other technical personnel and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • 3-4 years’ experience managing enterprise network
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with automation frameworks, such as Ansible and programming languages (Python, Bash)
  • Familiarity and experience with SDWAN architecture
  • Proficiency with Cisco Switch and SDWAN
  • Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, SMB, DNS, OSPF, and IPSec.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of cloud network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco and Palo Alto
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience in network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining IPsec tunnels
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA desire
