Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mobility Strategist / Parking and Mobility Planner to join our vibrant Atlanta, GA office. This role offers you the opportunity to develop innovative transportation solutions and optimize parking infrastructure, contributing significantly to sustainable mobility projects in urban environments. Lead challenging projects, mentor junior staff, and engage closely with clients and stakeholders across both public and private sectors. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Mobility Projects: Drive the planning, design, and development of cutting-edge mobility strategies and parking infrastructure projects.
  • Parking Analysis: Conduct shared use parking studies and analyze complex data to optimize parking demand and supply.
  • Mobility Planning: Develop comprehensive plans incorporating multimodal transportation, transportation demand management, and fleet electrification strategies.
  • Business Strategy: Provide revenue modeling and strategic business support to maximize the value of clients' transportation assets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams on campus planning, access management, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Data Visualization: Utilize tools visualization tools to present findings and recommendations.
  • Project Management: Manage project tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination, delivering technical reports and compelling presentations.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, public workshops, and stakeholder engagements to gather input and provide project updates.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior staff members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring cohesive project teams.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Planning, Business, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years professional experience in transportation, parking, mobility planning, or transportation.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel, GIS (ArcPro), and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and manage projects across the United States.

Preferred:

  • Project Management: Familiarity with tools like Asana in a collaborative, team-based work environment preferred
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Proficiency in understanding federal, state, and local regulations related to parking and mobility planning.
