Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Senior Analyst to join our dynamic team in our Raleigh, NC office, and work with partners across the country. The M&A Senior Analyst will support the firm's strategic growth initiatives by participating in the identification, evaluation, and execution of merger and acquisition transactions. This role will involve sourcing and evaluating new opportunities, leading due diligence efforts, developing tools to navigate through deal stages efficiently, and potentially partnering during the early stages of integration.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Evaluation: Leverage extensive M&A experience to provide strategic insights and evaluations during the sourcing and deal-making process to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company. Prepare and present findings and recommendations to firm leadership and stakeholders.
  • Tool Development: Develop and implement tools and methodologies to efficiently navigate the M&A process.
  • Financial Review: Critically review financial information and statements of potential acquisition targets to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic fit.
  • Lead the Due Diligence Process: Oversee and manage the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, ensuring thorough and accurate evaluations of target firms.
  • Opportunity Sourcing: Assist in sourcing new acquisition opportunities by identifying and evaluating potential target firms that align with the company's strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; CFA or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and financial review skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify growth opportunities through potential acquisitions.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly in managing and guiding due diligence teams.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with firm leadership, potential acquisition targets, and all levels of the organization.
  • Tool Development: Experience in developing and using advanced tools for the M&A process.
