Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a GIS Intern to join our St. Petersburg, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote postion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and analyze GIS data from various data sources

  • Design and create graphic representations of data as exhibits/maps

  • Create interactive Esri ArcGIS web and mobile applications

  • Review of GIS datasets for quality and completeness

  • Demonstrated ability or desire to provide data-driven solutions

  • Excellent communication to identify, seek, and promote geospatial thinking

  • Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic

  • Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and ability to contribute to a positive work environment

  • Passion and demonstrated drive to identify and achieve goals

Qualifications

  • In the process of receiving a Bachelors or Masters Degree in GIS or similar

  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro

  • Experience editing and creating GIS data

  • Experience using spatial and tabular databases

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Online

  • Knowledge of basic geoprocessing tools to analyze and manipulate data

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs specifically, Excel
