Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Power Delivery Team in the Everett, Washington (WA) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and draft substation P&C design drawings, such as AC/DC Schematics, and wiring diagrams under guidance of senior engineer.
  • Perform detailed point to point review to ensure quality of work
  • Perform engineering calculations such as AC/DC load and cable voltage drop under guidance of senior engineer.

Qualifications

Must Have
An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2025.

 

Preferred 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic experience working with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

  • Basic knowledge of the electrical power system (i.e., three phase power, per unit system, symmetrical component, circuit analysis. etc.),

  • Internship experience in the power industry (consulting firm or utility)
