Senior Electrical Engineer Project Manager – Lead, Innovate, and Drive Success!

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Project Manager who thrives on leading teams, driving business growth, and delivering high-quality electrical design solutions. In this role, you will take charge of project and client management, while leveraging your expertise to win new business and contribute to the firm’s expansion. You'll work with both private and public sector clients, managing projects from concept through execution while mentoring a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project and client management efforts, ensuring the successful execution of electrical design projects and fostering long-term client relationships.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee project administration
  • Coordinate with department managers to strategically plan, manage, and allocate design resources according to project requirements and available hours.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers, ensuring effective teamwork and professional growth.
  • Take a hands-on role when needed by performing electrical analysis, design, and documentation for power distribution, lighting systems, and backup power systems.
  • Collaborate with specialists for areas such as fire alarm systems, technology integration, and lighting design, ensuring all aspects of the project meet requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers, and other disciplines to determine equipment power needs and design efficient electrical distribution systems.
  • Perform detailed electrical design calculations, including electrical loads, panel schedules, and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design and project management within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with design and analysis software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, Easypower, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Deep understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), State Energy Code, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines to ensure code compliance and safety in all designs.
  • Experience with electrical system studies, including short circuit analysis, over-current device coordination, and Arc Flash Hazard analysis (per NFPA 70E).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Confident communicator, able to clearly convey technical information to clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, client-service mentality, and dedication to fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Exceptional skills in gathering, interpreting, and conveying complex technical information to clients and team members.

Salary & Compensation

  • Salary Range: $120,000–$180,000
  • Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation, rewarding your contributions to both project success and business growth.
