In this pivotal role, you will have full autonomy to lead, direct, and grow your own practice, focusing on resilient, sustainable infrastructure solutions in surface water management. You will play an instrumental role in business development, client relations, and managing a talented team, while delivering innovative stormwater planning, design, and modeling projects.

Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager in our Surface Water practice, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from design to execution, and have the opportunity to shape and grow the business in a thriving market. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities that align with your passion and the firm’s goals for growth.
  • Manage relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service, ongoing project success, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee all project tasks, including AutoCAD design, GIS integration, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater planning, storm drain, and BMP design.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, cultivating their professional growth while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Provide strategic leadership, establishing goals and developing a vision for the growth and success of the Surface Water (Hydraulics/Hydrology) practice.
  • Operate with integrity and sound business principles, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive innovation by applying your expertise in resilient and sustainable infrastructure engineering to solve complex surface water management challenges.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Civil Engineering experience, specializing in design and management of surface water, hydraulics, and hydrology projects.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the relevant state (or ability to obtain).
  • Established network of client contacts with local municipalities, counties, water management authorities, and local, regional, and state agencies.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to clients and teams alike.
  • Client-focused mindset, with a strong desire to engage with clients, identify solutions, and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor teams, providing guidance and leadership to junior staff while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Proven track record of managing projects profitably, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring on-time delivery of projects.
  • Experience in business development, including writing proposals, scopes of work, and managing project budgets.

Salary Range:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a lucrative bonus program rewarding performance and business growth.
  • Salary Range: $120k-$180k
