Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis of financial results, explaining variances and trends, and provide financial insights to help management make informed decisions.
  • Apply accounting principles to analyze financial data, record and reconcile transactions, and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Research proper accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other finance and functional teams to perform expense reviews and forecast annual operating spend.
  • Prepare for and support the annual business planning process, including operating and capital plans.
  • Lead the year-end review which includes the preparation of external financial statements and cash flows, consolidating entries, and financial workpapers.
  • Ensure successful implementation of new accounting standards, as necessary.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA certification
  • 3+ years of relevant financial reporting, accounting, or finance experience, preferably with experience in Public Accounting
