Overview

Kimley-Horn’s planning team is growing and has a rewarding opportunity for a motivated Planner to join our Atlanta Midtown team. The qualified individual will be specializing in parking and mobility.
As a Parking and Mobility Planner with Kimley-Horn, you will benefit from hands-on experience, technical software and consulting trainings, and developmental programs geared towards growing Kimley-Horn’s future leaders. You will also gain exposure to managing tasks and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations
  • Prepare strategic parking and mobility plans that require a technical skillset, understanding trends, evaluating potential solutions and developing content explaining the details of this work in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies
  • Gain exposure to diverse project experiences as we provide services to both the public and private sectors, such as universities, mixed-use developments, municipalities, and healthcare

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, City Planning, or Similar
  • 3 or more years progressive in Parking and Mobility Planning leadership, operations, policy, and administration
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
  • Exposure to Excel, GIS (ArcPro), and Adobe Suite experience is a bonus
