Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Project Manager to join our West Palm Beach, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

The candidate in this role will provide proactive, detail-oriented, project production and management and work directly with project managers, engineers, clients, and other staff. This position has multiple responsibilities including project-based work and coordination duties including but not limited to:

  • Developing project schedules in Microsoft Project and subsequently managing the schedule milestones and deliverables in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Preparing subconsultant contracts and managing execution of contracts, as well as schedule coordination.
  • Coordinating project submittals to various jurisdictional agencies, municipalities, utilities, etc.
  • Supporting role in permit application preparation, and management of regulatory review schedule through issuance of permit(s).
  • Project team member coordination.
  • Updating and monitoring team’s weekly production priorities list (experience with Asana preferred).
  • Preparing project management plans, monthly project updates, risk registers, invoicing documentation, and regular project update documentation for large production efforts.
  • Attending client meetings, preparing meeting notes, action item lists, and follow up coordination of client, subconsultants, and internal staff to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Supporting preparation of proposal, work orders, presentations, letters/correspondence, transmittals, etc.
  • Compiling and assembling submittals; coordinating large production jobs, printing, and binding
  • Creating, proofreading, editing, formatting, and finalizing project-related documents and reports
  • Construction phase support services (receiving/logging/distributing contractor submittals or shop drawings for review, logging review comments, organizing routine progress meetings, preparing meeting agenda/packet/minutes/summaries, contractor coordination, etc.). Experience with eComm Construction information management system, or equal, preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting engineering production/project managers
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Interpretation of engineering and architectural plans preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in project tracking software (Asana, Microsoft Project, eComm, etc.)
  • Strong proofing, formatting, and editing skills
  • Positive, client-oriented, take-charge attitude
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Capable of managing and balancing multiple tasks/priorities and performing well under deadline pressure
  • Ability to work well with various types of people and in a team environment
