Overview

Kimley-Horn's San Antonio, Texas (TX) office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Aviation team. 

Responsibilities

Our team has experienced sustained growth in airside, landside, and terminal engineering projects. This is a terrific opportunity for anyone who wants to solve unique transportation problems for multimodal environments, leverage multi-discipline experience, and desires to connect with the aviation and transportation markets. As an analyst with Kimley-Horn, you will benefit from hands-on experience, technical and consulting trainings, mentorship opportunities, and developmental programs geared towards growing Kimley-Horn’s next generation of leaders. You will also gain exposure to client interactions and project financials. As a valuable addition to our team, you will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment

Qualifications

  • A (Bachelors or Masters) technical degree in these majors with 2+ years experience:
    • Civil, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • EIT Certification Preferred
  • Knowledge/experience or interest in Airport Landside/Terminal or Airside Engineering
  • Engineering experience including pavement design, stormwater analysis and design, utility design, site grading, and permitting
  • Demonstrates passion for airport/transportation engineering and multi-discipline projects
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong technical/report writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
  • Ability to coordinate and direct support staff on specific tasks
  • Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
  • Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
