Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced Professional Engineer to help serve and grow our power utility and energy developer clients in an integrated manner. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a broad understanding of engineering, design, and specifications of power systems for utility transmission and distribution projects. Focused experience with power delivery design is preferred, but a diverse understanding of; grid integration; high voltage substations and transmission lines; medium voltage utility distribution systems; SCADA; and low voltage industrial and commercial distribution systems is highly desired.

Qualifications

  • Registered Engineer (Electrical, Structural or Civil)
  • 10+ years of power utility experience
  • Flexibility to work outside regular working hours
  • Willingness to occasionally travel (as required) for business needs
  • Confident communicator
  • Detail-oriented and proactive
  • Team player with a positive attitude/client service mentality
  • Strong ability to gather, interpret and convey technical information
