Overview

Kimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 1+ years of experience to join our Project Development and Environment team. 

Responsibilities

This person will support project development, and environment study tasks including concept development, alternatives evaluation, environmental impact analysis, cost estimating, stakeholder coordination, and messaging for public involvement. Additional responsibilities would include feasibility studies, corridor studies, traffic and safety studies, GIS analysis and maps, planning and attending public meetings, coordination with municipalities, as well as writing and reviewing reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in the field of Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning, PD&E studies, roadway engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or Complete Streets planning and design
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, ArcGIS, and/or Microstation software applications desired
