Transit Planner/Engineer

Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Transportation Planner or Engineer with 2+ years of post-college experience to join their Transit and Complete Streets team! This position is in-person/in-office.

The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team performing a variety of transportation-related planning and conceptual design tasks including transportation analyses, complete streets studies, mobility analyses, and transit analyses, and development of public outreach materials and strategies. 

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
• Registered P.E.,T.E. in the state of CA or registered AICP (or the interest and ability to obtain)
• At least 2 years of directly related full-time experience
• Experience preparing technical materials such as transit analyses, traffic studies, parking studies, complete streets assessments, safety studies, multi-modal planning, site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.
• Demonstrated experience working on a team.
• Proficiency in GIS and Excel
• Exposure to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM, Sidra, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software desired.
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000
