Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our TxDOT Survey team in Irving/Las Colinas, Texas (TX)!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Survey Abstract research for various survey projects
  • Process field data files (points), use field sketches, photos, and reference maps to prepare surveys.
  • Prepare deed sketches, abstract maps, subdivision plats, ALTA Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits and other various survey related maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey.
  • Prepare Parcel exhibits for right-of-way mapping projects using Microstation Power Geopak V8i and/or Open Roads Designer
  • Prepare Right-of-way Maps using Microstation Power Geopak V8i and/or Open Roads Designer
  • Prepare metes and bounds descriptions
  • Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
  • Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
