Responsibilities

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our ITS team in Richmond, Virginia (VA). We're looking for motivated engineers with experience in ITS Planning and Design, Systems Engineering, Signal Design, Signal Timing, GIS Analysis and Project Management activities. Qualified individuals should be comfortable with client interaction, working independently, and have excellent writing and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or relatable degree

• Registered P.E. or T.E. (or the ability to obtain within one year from employment) 

• At least 3 years of experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), including ITS planning, design and traffic operations.

• Experience working with local agencies and municipalities on ITS Design projects. 

• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. 

• Excellent technical skills in ITS design.
