We are looking to grow our Aviation Team’s construction administration practice. This unique and exciting opportunity will allow  you to gain experience in construction activities at a major international airport. While we are looking for someone with construction observation experience, aviation inspection experience is not required. We can teach you that.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will represent our client’s interest providing excellent construction administration inspection services for a wide variety of landside aviation projects.
  • Conduct daily construction observations to ensure compliance with contract documents.  Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, and client engineering standards will serve to provide exceptional oversight assisting our Senior Inspectors. 
  • Our inspector’s work together with Senior Inspectors to create, issue, and maintain Construction Administration documents such as material testing reports, RFI's, Change Orders, daily diaries, monthly pay applications, and final project documentation, etc. 
  • Provide observation reports that monitor the construction schedule/progress including photo documentation
  • Review, confirm, and recommend monthly contractor payment applications, against measured and observed contract bid items, assisting Senior Inspectors.
  • Assist the Senior Inspector with daily contractor project communication and correspondence
  • Assist the Senior Inspector to coordinate and monitor all testing, required within the contract documents, in accordance with the Contract Documents.
  • Assist to organize and participate in Pre-Construction and periodic construction meetings
  • Assist the Senior Inspector in performing project punch lists and final documentation in accordance with owner’s requirements

Qualifications

  • High school degree/equivalent required. 2-Year Construction Management Degree Preferred.
  • Prefer a minimum of 1+ years construction inspection experience in Public Transportation and Municipal projects
  • Preferred, but not necessary, to hold MnDOT Construction Technician Certifications in Grading, Bituminous, Concrete, Bridge, Signals/Lighting, and Landscaping.  We will provide additional certification training as necessary to grow your expertise.
  • Valid MnDOT Class “D” driver's license required
  • Highly self-motivated inspector that desires to provide exceptional service to our clients
  • An individual that is skilled at serving as a valued team member within a complex project with limited guidance from a Senior Inspector
  • Microsoft Office Suite software experience such as “Word”, “Excel”, etc.
