Overview

Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Transportation Planner/Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Transportation Planning team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related tasks including traffic impact studies, transportation analyses and design, VMT analysis, parking studies, safety studies and other various transportation and traffic related tasks. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Transportation, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
  • Registered P.E. or T.E. in the state of CA (or the interest and ability to obtain)
  • At least 4 years of directly related experience
  • Experience preparing traffic impact studies, multi-modal planning, TDM programs, traffic signal and lighting operations, site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.
  • Experience in vehicle and bicycle parking planning including parking demand studies, shared parking analysis, at-grade and structured parking layouts, exterior and interior bike parking. 
  • Experience working with various clients including private developers and municipalities desired. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a team of staff members.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals. 
  • Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM, AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000
