Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our Aviation team in the Twin Cities!

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality graphics, and plan drawings of substantial complexity and perform multifaceted calculations.
  • Assist with plan development for a wide variety of projects including utility, site development, and transportation projects.
  • Work with minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation in a systematic and accessible manner.
  • Train and mentor staff on software usage, drafting standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of general civil, land development, municipal or aviation design.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, working knowledge of Revit a plus.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, and team player.
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
