Overview

Kimley-Horn seeks a Senior Project Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and a private sector-focused traffic engineering background. The ideal candidate will create a vision for growth for their personal practice, while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in Indianapolis, the state of Indiana, and places beyond. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pursue their own passions, leads, and clients, assist in marketing and business development efforts with our existing clients, and produce a wide variety of traffic engineering projects with our growing team of transportation professionals.  

 

Our Senior Project Managers manage and deliver their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, and act as positive leaders and mentors.  The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business. Required

  • Well-rounded experience base in transportation engineering including transportation planning, traffic operations and roadway engineering
  • Extensive private sector client contacts and relationships and a demonstrated ability to win work  
  • Registered engineer with at least 10 years of diversified experience in as a Transportation Engineer
  • Experience managing private sector clients and providing high quality deliverables with exceptional client service 
  • A desire to lead and grow a transportation engineering practice
  • Business development and marketing experience including; writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
