Overview

Kimley-Horn's San Diego office is seeking a Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to join their Water/Wastewater team!

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater projects in the San Diego area, focusing on treatment, pipeline, and pump station projects.
  • Oversee all project phases, including planning, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in water and wastewater treatment processes, pipeline design, and pump station operations.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality control measures.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, including cost estimates, technical specifications, and project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the water/wastewater industry, with a focus on treatment, pipeline, or pump station projects.
  • Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pipeline design, and pump station operations.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing project proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to water and wastewater projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California is preferred.

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $165,000
