Kimley-Horn has a position available immediately for a full-time (40+ hours/week) Administrative Assistant in our Houston office. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional to support the office with administrative tasks and help answer phones (cover breaks/lunches/vacations).


  • Act as the back-up receptionist
  • Answering incoming phone calls to the office
  • Effectively partner with other Administrative staff and senior leaders
  • Mail distribution; FedEx distribution (outgoing and incoming)
  • Scheduling meetings/setting up appropriate A/V equipment and ordering meals
  • Expense reports
  • Assembling project documents and book
  • Help support other groups as needed
  • Support of the Regional Production Managers


  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Polished and professional
  • 5+ years of experience as a receptionist/administrative assistant
  • Positive, client-oriented, take-charge attitude
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Strong grammar and punctuation skills – able to proofread documents and correct as needed
  • Able to work well with external clients
  • Able to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong MS office skills –Word and Excel
