Overview

Kimley-Horn's St. Petersburg office is seeking a Transporation Planner with 1+ years of experience to join their Transportation and Traffic team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our Multi-Modal Transportation and Traffic team leading and performing a variety of transportation-related task including:
    • Multi-modal transportation analyses and design
    • Safety studies
    • Travel demand modeling
    • Multimodal corridor concept development
    • Other various transportation and traffic related tasks
  • GIS Analysis
  • Contribute to the growth of this practice by participating in client meetings, client communication/coordination,  and task management while working with a variety of individuals

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of directly related experience
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in these majors:  
    • City and Regional Planning 
    • Urban Planning
    • Transportation Planning  
    • Or Other Related Major
  • Experience preparing multi-modal planning studies and improvements, traffic signal and lighting plans, signing and striping plans, and a variety of technical and planning reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and/or other traffic and engineering software 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and project managers
