Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Project Manager to join our team in our Atlanta Midtown office!

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex design of electrical systems for sites/facilities such as transportation, power delivery, or energy (solar, BESS, microgrid, EV infrastructure, etc.) projects
  • Preparation of project specifications, electrical construction cost estimates, and marketing proposals
  • Lead a team of qualified staff while mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our electrical engineering practice into new markets and clients
  • Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams 
  • Responsible for the development of reports and design documents

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 8 years of relatable experience in an Electrical Engineering role
  • Licensed EE in the state of GA (or ability to obtain within a year of employment)
  • Experience managing and mentoring younger staff
  • Interest and experience engaging directly with clients, having a growth mindset to build business
  • Experience with marketing and business development activities  
  • Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes
  • Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD)
  • Experience in Power Studies, such as System Impact Studies, Short Circuit Analysis, Coordination/Protection, or Arc Flash Analysis preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
