Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of FORTUNE Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” is seeking a motivated Rail / Transit Project Manager to join our Northern Virginia team.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited Heavy Rail and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects. Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation. This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in the field of Civil Engineering
  • PE license, or ability to obtain within one year
  • Outgoing, self-motivated team player
  • 10+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including:
    • Transit corridor design experience, with a focus on (but not limited to) rail
    • Track/guideway design
    • Roadway design
    • Station design, including park-and-ride facilities
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D 
  • Experience communicating and working with clients
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation
  • Ability to balance priorities among multiple projects
